Action Required: Submission Rules & Eligibility — CBC Hackathon @ UR-CST
Hey Hackers!
I want to share some important instructions for this weekend. We're using Devpost to showcase all your projects and support the judging.
You need to register now and submit your projects before the deadline (Mon Apr 20, 2026 at 05:45pm EDT), both at this link: https://cbc-ur.devpost.com/
- Have EVERY person on your team go to the link above and click Register for this hackathon. (You must all create Devpost accounts.)
- One person from each team will Enter a Submission (which is a button you'll see after you Register). Where it asks you to add your teammates' email addresses, make sure to use the same ones they used to create their Devpost accounts.
- Submit early and include as much information as you can, so you won't be rushed toward the end. And remember, you can keep updating your project until the deadline.
⚠️ Important Notes — Please Read Carefully:
Eligibility: We have noticed that some projects have been submitted by participants who are not University of Rwanda students at the College of Science and Technology (UR-CST). This hackathon is open only to current UR-CST students. All team members must meet this requirement — any projects that do not will be disqualified, no exceptions. If you've already submitted and your team includes non-eligible members, please update your submission accordingly before the deadline to avoid disqualification.
Original Work Only: All projects must be built entirely during the hackathon period. Any project found to have been started or substantially developed before the hackathon start date will be disqualified. Judges and organizers will be reviewing commit histories, project timelines, and any other relevant evidence. Start fresh, build something new, and let your creativity shine during the event.
That's it for now, happy hacking!
